If Dad marries someone else because you are driving him batty, and you get a new husband, don’t say I didn’t warn you that he would not be as nice as your first husband.

So I advise you to pay attention to Dad in a good way.  Don’t do the “go do this and go do that, Patrick” way.

Not a slave way. Do it this way instead, “Hey Patrick, I will do this for you so you won’t have to do it.”  And Dad will do something for you.

Dad will say, “What a nice wife I have, I never want to divorce her.”

So get my point?

Be nice to Dad and he will do nice things to you.
